Oil traps operate on a gravitational principle, separating heavier water from lighter oil products. The incoming water flow is calmed and heavy particles (earth, sand) are deposited.
A coalescing filter separates oil products from water and detains sludge. A sorbing filter can be installed in the oil trap to improve the treatment results up to 1 mg/l.
